(3) When you contact us via email or through a contact form, the data you provide (your email address, possibly your name and telephone number) will be stored by us to answer your questions. We will delete the data that arises in this context after storage is no longer required, or we will restrict processing if legal retention obligations exist.

3. Collection of personal data when visiting our website

(1) When using the website for purely informational purposes, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. When you view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR:

  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Content of the request (specific page)
  • Access status/HTTP status code
  • Amount of data transferred in each case
  • Website from which the request comes

  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software.

(2) Use of cookies:

Furthermore, cookies are stored on your computer when using the website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the location that sets the cookie (in this case, us). Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They are used to make the overall internet offering more user-friendly and effective. Additional cookies are set according to your selection (preferences, statistics, and marketing) and your associated consent (legal basis in this case is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

(3) Furthermore, we may disclose your personal data to third parties if action participation, contests, contracts, or similar services are offered jointly with partners. You can obtain more information on this by providing your personal data or in the description of the offer below.

(4) If our service providers or partners are located in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you of the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offer.

4. Objection of revocation of the processing of your data

(1) If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke it at any time. Such revocation will affect the permissibility of processing your personal data after you have given it to us.

(2) If we base the processing of your personal data on a balancing of interests, you may object to the processing. This is the case if the processing is not necessary, in particular, to fulfill a contract with you, which we will describe in each case in the following description of the functions. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of a justified objection, we will examine the situation and either stop or adapt the data processing or point out our compelling legitimate reasons on the basis of which we will continue processing.

5. Use of Matomo

(1) We use the open-source software tool Matomo (formerly PIWIK) provided by InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, to analyze the surfing behavior of our users on our website. The software sets a cookie on your computer (see above for cookies). The following data is stored when you visit the website:

  • Two bytes of the IP address of the user’s calling system,
  • The website accessed,
  • The website from which the user accessed the called website (referrer),
  • The subpages accessed from the called website,
  • The length of time spent on the website,
  • The frequency of accessing the website.

The software runs exclusively on the servers of our website. Personal data of users is only stored there. The data is not passed on to third parties. It is not possible to trace back to a specific person since your IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before storage.

6. Social Networks

We have our own presence on social media to present ourselves, provide information, engage with users, and communicate with them. You can find data protection information here.

7. Use of Microsoft services

We use various services of Microsoft® Corporation for telephone conferences, appointment scheduling, surveys, or for collaboration with our employees, customers, prospects, and applicants. You can find the data protection information regarding this here.

8. Contact form and email contact

(1) You can contact us both through email or through a contact form. If you use the contact form, the data which is indicated on the contact form page is transferred to us and stored. The process of your data occurs exclusively to manage your request. Further data transferred during through the contact form aims to prevent its misuse and to ensure the safety of our information systems. The legal basis for the data processing is the user’s consent according to 6 (1) a GDPR. If contact per email is part of a process to conclude a contract, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) b GDPR. We collect the following data:

  • Email adress
  • Name
  • Contact data
  • Message
  • Time and date of the contact request
